JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates data collection, implements statistical analyses, and produces reports on wellness initiatives. Maintains functional operations for multi-platform data system including analytical, reporting, and business intelligence tools. Supports delivery of safe patient care and services, and promotes safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Statistics, Decision Support, or related field

EXPERIENCE*

  • 3 years of experience in related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Experience with relational database environment

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*

  • Proficient in analytical, statistical, reporting, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel and Access, and SPSS)
  • Understanding of principles and practices of health promotion/wellness program evaluation
  • Demonstrated analytical analysis expertise, including ability to manipulate complex data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven project management skills, including ability to manage time and multiple assignments, shift priorities, and work independently and within teams
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  1. Consults with team members to identify optimal methodology for data collection and analysis, compiles the data analysis, and reviews results.
  2. Conducts research and analyzes data, processes, and systems related to projects.
  3. Develops, recommends, and implements project action plans.
  4. Shares data and recommendations through a variety of channels and reports, incorporating local, state, and national scope related to select metrics, as well as background research and supplemental documentation to support leaders, meetings, and research proposals.
  5. Manages data management processes (e.g. data entry, file transfer).
  6. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and validity of data.
  7. Troubleshoots technical database issues and workflow processes (e.g., creating and editing reports, documents, and queries).
  8. Interacts with internal and external department customers (e.g., Information Systems & Technology,  vendors).
  9. Participates in continuous assessment and improvement of quality of service provided at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
  10. Oversees data/database changes.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
