Unified Endpoint Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The IS&T Unified Endpoint Analyst will directly contribute to executing the overall enterprise end user device (EUD) strategy. This role will focus on EUD technical aspects pertaining to organizational projects, hardware and image standards, process and project documentation and EUD security compliance reporting and remediation. The IS&T Unified Endpoint Analyst will be a leader in technical organizational projects and will be responsible for planning, configuration, testing and deployment of various EUD related initiatives. This position will act as a subject matter expert in planning for projects and ensuring standards are adhered to and documented and shared across the department. The position will play a role in planning for various refreshes and overseeing their execution. The  IS&T Unified Endpoint Analyst will lead efforts around security compliance reporting and remediation pertaining to Children’s workstations,   including but not limited to Antivirus, device encryption and patching.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or related field

EXPERIENCE*

  • Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience in desktop support
  • Advanced detailed knowledge in desktop support
  • Experience creating process and standards documentation 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience driving technical projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Experience with compliance initiatives related to workstations (Encryption, Antivirus, Patching)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  1. Lead organizational projects pertaining to end user devices (System projects, IS&T focused projects and facilities projects).
  2. Lead workstation patching remediation efforts. 
  3. Lead Encryption reporting and remediation efforts.
  4. Lead AntiVirus remediation reporting and remediation efforts.
  5. Lead implementation tasks related to EUDs, including: configuration, integration, and roll-outs.
  6. Participate in overall EUD refresh planning and supports execution. 
  7. Perform image testing, image documentation and maintains the image repository. 
  8. Define and document overall system equipment standards  . 
  9. Maintain existing and, as required, develop new documentation that will include but is not limited to SOPs and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards. 
  10. Lead the creation of knowledge articles to support Solution Center Tier 1 effectiveness including close on initial call. 
  11. Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues  . 
  12. Ensure engineered solutions are designed to maintain highest availability and service dependability. 
  13. Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation.   
  14. Follow Change Management process for all changes to production systems, including documenting all changes made to systems. 
  15. Coordinate and participate in an on-call rotation.
  16. Lead and execute process improvement initiatives for end user experience as assigned.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
