Treasury Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Maintains general accounting books as pertain to treasury transactions. Carries on daily functions of the Corporate Finance department. Supports efforts that ensure delivery of patient care and services and fully support the mission, vision, and values of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

EXPERIENCE*

  • 3 years of experience in corporate treasury and banking
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems
  • Experience with online banking systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Certified Treasury Professional
  • Treasury workstation experience
  • Experience with Lawson/Infor

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Project management skills
  • Familiarity with various banking system platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, effectively prioritize, manage others, and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, and people skills
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to change with the organization and work with peers to maintain a positive team atmosphere

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  1. Identifies opportunities for regular cash settlements while monitoring working capital elements and understanding intercompany relationships between legal entities.
  2. Performs monthly analysis of working capital levels, explaining major month-to-month variances, and integrates analysis to build forecasting model.
  3. Assists with documentation of internal cash-related processes, identifies areas of risk, and standardizes internal processes with internal control.
  4. Participates in Treasury’s cash documentation and mapping.
  5. Monitors cash applications weekly/monthly for accuracy and cash reporting for upper management.
  6. Assists in ongoing evaluation of cash deposits and payments, bank services and products, policies, procedures, and operational controls.
  7. Identifies, researches, and recommends cash management process improvements for alignment with industry best practices.
  8. Supports and implements new Treasury initiatives and projects.
  9. Assists with implementing global petty cash policy.
  10. Assists with various ad hoc projects and month-end close process.
  11. Provides audit support (e.g.., cash, debt, check copies, bank statements, and investment confirmations) as needed.
  12. Performs bank account analysis statement review/analysis.
  13. Manages Positive Pay, responds to inquiries regarding cleared checks, and initiates stop payments and voids.
  14. Stays current on relevant best practices and participates in/coordinates process improvement efforts.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
