Strategic Planning Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Develops analyses to support strategic actions and makes recommendations that inform business decision-making. Provides ongoing marketplace and consumer insights to leaders and key stakeholders.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

EXPERIENCE*
  • 1 year of experience in data analysis and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, or Healthcare Administration
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • Understanding of emerging healthcare issues, health system models, and trends
  • Strong data visualization and database analytics skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate activities and work autonomously, yet collaborative and resourceful
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Must be able to function in dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules, priorities, and project scope
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Performs qualitative and quantitative data analyses and research, using multiple sources and large volumes of data, often starting from scratch.
  2. Analyzes competitor and industry data, and reports trends.
  3. Performs internal and external exploratory data analyses and environment assessments.
  4. Gathers information and submits external data for system surveys.
  5. Presents findings of data analyses to technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Translates results into easily understood presentation materials.
  7. Utilizes Qlikview or similar tool to enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  8. Supports Consultants, Strategy and Financial Planning.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
