Sr. Workday Analyst - LMS Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is hiring a Sr. Workday Analyst to join our growing team!  The Sr. Workday Analyst supports and maintains complex applications and processes within the human resource technology portfolio of Workday - Learning Module.  Serves as technical contact for assigned applications and functional areas, ensures data integrity, conducts testing of system changes, performs report writing, and analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities. Supports and may lead new Workday mplementation and recurring human resources processes. Supports HRIS/talent management system upgrades, patches, testing, and other technical projects.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

  • No professional certifications required

EXPERIENCE*

  • 5 years of progressive experience working with human resources information systems
  • 1 year of experience in project management
  • 4 years of experience with HRIS or talent management systems ex. Workday
  • Previous experience including active participation in system-related projects
  • Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems for complex systems
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Access or Business Objects
  • Experience with database tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • Experience as a human resources generalist or specialist
  • HRCI certification and/or PMI certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Experience implementing Workday application

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*

  • Technically proficient in relevant computer applications
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex queries, reports and/or analytic dashboards that exceed customer requirements
  • Must have a successful record of completing application implementations, system upgrades, and/or annual process cycles in a project management role
  • Strong written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to write solid business requirements, user-friendly documentation/tip sheets and procedures guides, and professional reports and presentations
  • Strong understanding of most human resources processes and how they interrelate, and human resources data
  • Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

1. System Maintenance:

  • Maintains HRIS and affiliated system or database tables and system setup/configuration
  • Leads the review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades or patches for HRIS and other systems.
  • Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix and document process and results.

2. Production Support:

  • Supports assigned human resources systems, including researching, logging, and resolving issues/problems, unexpected results, or process flaws in partnership with technical resources.
  • Performs scheduled activities, reports, and audits and recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

3. Projects/Process Improvement:

  • Recommends process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes.
  • Utilizes technology as a lever to facilitate business process improvements for end users. 
  • Serves as liaison with third parties and other stakeholders, such as payroll, benefits, and compensation.
  • Manages projects and annual process cycles and develops detailed business requirements.
  • Communicates solutions, successes, and opportunities to the Director, Human Resources Technology.

4. Reports/Queries:

  • Writes, maintains, and supports a variety of complex dashboards, reports, and/or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
  • Develops standard and ad-hoc reports to address customer needs.
  • Helps maintain systems data integrity by running queries and analyzing data.

5. Training and Communication:

  • Develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Coordinates training design and development for new system implementations and trains new system users.
  • Identifies opportunities to re-train or communicate processes to users that facilitate efficiencies and improve data integrity and user acceptance.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
