JOB SUMMARY

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is hiring a Qlik Architect to join our permanent team.  The Qlik Architect will be primarily responsible for managing the organization’s QlikView and Qlik Sense environments across 33 servers, with 20+ data connections and various custom extensions. He/She will also be responsible for supporting Qlik developers by providing mentorship in code reviews and coding support sessions.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY
  • No professional certifications required
EXPERIENCE*
  • 8 years of experience in business intelligence, including implemented data quality concepts, enterprise data warehouse environmen, translating business needs into long-term information architecture solution, and implementing a self-service business intelligence strategy
  • Experience in computer-aided software engineering tools 
  • At least 2 years of QlikView or Qlik Sense Administration experience
  • Proven experience working with the Qlik Sense product in a large-scale enterprise environment
  • Experience with Qlik Management Console (QMC)
  • Qlik Sense site administration and management experience
  • Experience with access control modeling (section access)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

 

  • Experience with nPrinting
  • Experience with GeoAnalytics
  • Certification in Qlik Sense Administration
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • Understanding of leading technologies in business intelligence conceptual, logical, and physical design principles

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Takes responsibility for business intelligence and data warehouse blueprints and integrating systems.
  2. Provides oversight of technical design on development projects to ensure adherence to corporate standards and development best practices.
  3. Evaluates existing and emerging technologies and provides recommendations on integration within systems and best practices.
  4. Translates business needs into long-term information architecture solution.
  5. Defines designs and builds dimensional business intelligence for dimensional conformity.
  6. Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analysis.
  7. Conducts data quality initiative to rid system of old, unused, or duplicate data.
  8. Renews object and data models and metadata reporting to structure data for better management and quicker access.
  9. Manages a working relationship with other Information Systems & Technology managers, collaborating on department and project goals and objectives.
  10. Works with outside vendors as relates to business intelligence technologies.
  11. Configure and administer QlikView and Qlik Sense sites using Qlik Management Console (QMC)
  12. Support the architecture, design, security, and installation of Qlik Sense, including applying scheduled upgrades and patches on all 33 servers
  13. Manage tasks and triggers for Qlik Sense applications
  14. Manage data connection and extensions
  15. Migrate QlikView and Qlik Sense application across environments (Development, QA, Production)
  16. Maintain security rules to control content and access to applications, tasks streams
  17. Troubleshoot issues regarding security, user access, application performance, broken extensions
  18. Assist with the adoption strategy and knowledge sharing of Qlik Sense throughout the organization
  19. Attend scheduled Code Review sessions and create report with suggested improvements
  20. Provide coding mentorship to Qlik Developers
