JOB SUMMARY

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is hiring a Sharepoint Administrator to join our permanent team.  The Sharepoint Admin manages all aspects of SharePoint environment, including design, architecture, availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, and security. Plays an integral part in development of strategies for optimal use of SharePoint and other collaborative tools within the organization. Masters technical guidelines and best practices related to configuring and maintaining an enterprise-level SharePoint farm.

EDUCATION
  • Associate's degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY
  • No professional certifications required
EXPERIENCE*
  • 3 years of experience in a technical support position supporting a Microsoft SharePoint environment
  • Experience in interoperability of Microsoft suite of products with SharePoint
  • 3 years of experience in SharePoint specific administration
  • 3 years of experience supporting Windows Server
     
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Windows Server 2016
  • SharePoint 2010, 2016 and Online
  • Sitecore 7.5 to 9.1
  • TFS 2015
  • MS DevOps 2019
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft SharePoint architecture
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Understands technical environments in order to create and document processes and procedures
  • Demonstrates well-developed organizational, written communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organization lines, including administrative/executive staff and patient care systems users
  • Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
  • Current knowledge of industry-accepted best practices and trends
  • Strong background in general network and system administration
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Sets up and configures appropriate SharePoint environments, including installing and testing custom applications and web parts, configuring external service connections, SharePoint web application management, content deployment, and configuring application security.
  2. Architects an enterprise SharePoint solution to support the needs of the organization, including global configuration, data configuration, user profile and My Sites, and active directory settings.
  3. Designs and implements disaster recovery procedures, logging, and reporting.
  4. Administers SharePoint search.
  5. Performs SharePoint upgrades, patches, and site migrations as well as testing and validation of upgrades and patches.
  6. Analyzes and provides recommendations for functionality improvements.
  7. Leads project activities, developing and coordinating short- and long-term plans and project roadmaps.
  8. Consults with site administrators and owners on setup, design, and security.
  9. Maintains global site collection including metadata, content types, columns, and workflows.
  10. Works with end users to assess new SharePoint requests and translate into requirements.
  11. Designs and develops forms and workflows in SharePoint.
  12. Performs collaboration research and POC’s for customers
  13. Provides guidance on activating site features and creating reusable templates
  14. Ensures that sites adhere to best practices and policies of SharePoint tools.
  15. Monitors and audits SharePoint pages and content.
  16. Troubleshoots and resolves SharePoint incident and site issues.
  17. Maintains professional development through training and seminars.  
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
