JOB SUMMARY

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is hiring a ServiceNow System Administrator to join our permanent team.  The ServiceNow System Administrator provides ITSM system administration, configuration, technology consultation, and ongoing operational support to the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta user community. The ServiceNow System Administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of ServiceNow platform including configuration, performance, monitoring, security and best practice related to maintaining an enterprise-level ServiceNow instance. Plays an integral part in development of strategies for optimal use of the platform.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or related field preferred or the equivalent technical training and work experience required
     
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

•    No professional certifications required

EXPERIENCE*

•    1 years of experience administering, configuring, and implementing an enterprise wide ServiceNow platform
•    3+ years experience in a technical role 
•    Experience delivering system design/configuration solutions for ServiceNow
•    Experience managing multiple, concurrent projects and support initiatives in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities in an Agile environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

•    ServiceNow Administrator certification is highly preferred
•    ServiceNow best practice consulting
•    Supporting cloud/SaSS based platforms
•    Engagement with vendors and technical support channels

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*

•    Strong understanding of ITIL support processes, such as Incident Management, Change management, Asset Management, and Service Management
•    Strong understanding of ServiceNow application and modules and architecture
•    Working knowledge in HTML, JavaScript, XML, and Web Services
•    Working knowledge of Active Directory, and Single Sign On configuration
•    Working knowledge of relational databases
•    Working knowledge with Agile software development methodologies
•    Ability to manage multiple system environments/instances
•    Ability generate system reports, and interfaces, as well as maintain these items 
•    Proven organizational, problem solving, analytical, prioritization, customer service, support, and time management skills
•    Proven ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational and departmental lines
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

1.    Manages and performs system administrative and support functions for the assigned system(s).
2.    Manages and participates in system patches and upgrades.
3.    Monitors assigned system to ensure optimal performance.
4.    Proactively supports efforts to ensure data integrity across Children’s.
5.    Configures/maintains/supports interfaces with other applications, and process automation utilizing the platform’s workflow capabilities
6.    Provides best practice guidance on platform applications/modules to maintain an efficient and effective functioning system.
7.    Reviews support processes, policies, and/or procedures to ensure proper communication, documentation, and training for assigned system.
8.    Functions as the system’s technical support liaison/lead, ensuring effective transition throughout the project lifecycle.
9.    Utilizes generally accepted best practices to ensure proper monitoring and maintenance of all system components.
10.    Troubleshoots/resolves issues and communicates effectively with system vendor(s) when needed.
11.    Communicates complicated technical concepts to non-technical customers.
12.    Provides 24 x 7 system support as needed.
13.    Consistently follows all internal processes and procedures
14.    Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
