Senior Marketing Coordinator

Provides a high level of support to the Marketing team by leading the development and implementation of marketing and communications plans that support key system strategies. Provides client management and consultation to stakeholders throughout the system. Manages budget and measures and assesses effectiveness of marketing initiatives, research, content management, and messaging across multiple channels.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related field


  • No professional certifications required


  • 5 years of experience in marketing


  • Experience in marketing, advertising, healthcare, non-profit and/or fundraising
  • Agency experience


  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, implement, complete, and evaluate effectiveness of projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and analytical problem-solving capabilities
  • Demonstrated strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage various information sources for research, analysis and application (e.g., intranet, internet, Healthcare Advisory Board, CHCA, NACHRI, ACHE)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and experience applying focus group feedback, quantitative research, and web and/or campaign analytics to optimize ongoing marketing and program efforts


  1. Supports business partners in achieving their goals through the development of comprehensive, strategic, and integrated marketing plans.
  2. Ensures strategies and initiatives are aligned with identified business objectives based on a thorough market analysis and have measurable results.
  3. Oversees production process for print and digital projects, including managing project initiation, developing effective creative briefs, and communicating status of project to business partner.
  4. Manages progress, delivery, and distribution through identified processes and agreements.
  5. Takes initiative and consistently provides business partners with strategic direction and recommendations based on market research and/or industry best practices.
  6. Demonstrates understanding of marketing plan development process, fiscal management, and resource allocation.
  7. Collaborates with extended Marketing and Communications team to strategically develop and integrate key messages and campaigns.
  8. Handles budget allocation, analysis, and assessment of return on investment for marketing initiatives.
  9. Supervises interns and/or volunteers.
  10. Demonstrates leadership and serves as a positive role model, mentor, and resource to Marketing Coordinators.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
