Senior Foundation Operations Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Foundation Operations Analyst provides data analysis to develop metrics, forecasts, plans and models for the Foundation, working with key stakeholders across multiple teams. This role develops and maintains data models, tools, processes, and systems for planning, analysis, and performance reporting. The Senior Planning Analyst develops summaries and presentations for decision-making in coordination with the Director of Foundation Operations and Foundation Senior Leadership.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree
EXPERIENCE*
  • 5+ years of experience in a role performing data analysis and analytical decision support
  • Advanced experience working with a variety of information systems and large, complex data files
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Master’s degree and/or CPA or other comparable certification  
  • Experience in a non-profit organization, preferably healthcare-related
  • Experience with Client Management Data Base or Raiser’s Edge CRM or Blackbaud ResearchPoint system
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • A history of increasing responsibilities including project team leads and project management roles
  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Advanced experience with data extraction from CRM databases, manipulation and presentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Access
  • Strong data visualization and analytics skills
  • Strong presentation and written communications skills with wide array of stakeholders
  • Proactive self-starter, autonomous yet highly collaborative and resourceful
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information/PHI
  • Demonstrated ability to manage external vendors and contracts
  • Able to effectively prioritize his/her time on multiple projects and function in a dynamic environment with frequent changes in schedules, priorities, and project scope
  • Identifies potential obstacles to success and proactively develops/implements solutions or mitigations
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Designs queries and builds data pulls for both current and historical data from Raiser’s Edge and other Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta systems as requested by Foundation or system staff and leadership.
  2. Gathers benchmark information and data to perform analysis to establish baseline, determine present and future performance trends.
  3. Effectively summarizes and presents data analyses in executive-level reports and presentations.
  4. Verifies data integrity, quality and accuracy, and timely reporting of information.
  5. Recommends actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals.
  6. Develops lead pipelines of screened patient family suspects and provides strategic input to Foundation’s grateful patient family program.
  7. Collaborates heavily with Foundation Data Services staff and research screening and modeling vendors to improve functionality and usage of Raiser’s Edge system.
  8. Refines and implements systems for tracking/validating results of prospect screening, modeling, and identification efforts and return on investment for various fundraising activities.
  9. Provides periodic metric/activity tracking reports to Foundation leadership.
  10. Serves as Foundation privacy monitor, educating staff and overseeing compliance with applicable system and Foundation policies.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
