Senior Foundation Data Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

Leads and collaborates with stakeholders in order to accomplish annual team goals.  Recommends global-scale data integrity efforts within the donor database. Accurately and effectively administering coding within the donor database while ensuring  customer service, consistency, and the smooth functioning of day-to-day operations. Partners with the Information Systems & Technology support teams and proactively communicates with the Treasury and Foundation Development teams to ensure donors' and prospects' preferences are handled appropriately and timely to positively impact their philanthropic efforts of supporting the patient care and services provided by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

EXPERIENCE*

• 3 years of experience in non-profit fundraising and/or database management
• 3 years of experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge, Omatic Tools and Luminate Online or CRM system equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Advanced skills in management and functionality of Blackbaud products
• Experience with Omatic suites products
• Experience in project management
• Experience in healthcare fundraising

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated skill at typing 50 error-free words per minute

  • Maturity and flexibility to support multiple program areas, manage multiple assignments, and shift priorities in accordance with departmental needs
  • Personal computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other Windows-based and/or hospital-related database systems and applications

  • Reliable, adaptable, and self- driven with a clear focus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

1. Acts as project manager on Data Services team initiatives, providing consistent project direction and management throughout the project lifecycle to accomplish goals defined by project scope and objectives.
2. Acts as subject matter expert on coding, functionality, and integration of Raiser’s Edge, Luminate Online, and Omatic tools.
3. Runs the system’s duplicate checker, researches constituents using online tools, and performs record merges.
4. Assists with day-to-day responsibilities by creating and updating records through manual entry or integration tools.
5. Trains all new Foundation staff and partners on Raiser’s Edge basics and gift processing procedures.
6. Leads Data Services team trainings around database functionality, coding, and policies and procedures as needed.
7. Creates and develops effective presentations, training materials, and policies and procedures.
8. Builds complex queries, exports, and reports.
9. Prepares import files for global coding projects and manages plug-in configuration files.
10. Supports the Data Services Manager on special projects.
11. Serves as a resource for other staff members.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
