Senior Financial Operations Analyst

Provides financial and analytical support to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in the area of reporting and support for management decisions. Proactively supports the Director, Finance and provides financial information to support the clinical efforts that ensure informative decisions to clinical operations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related field
  • No professional certifications required
  • Five years experience in the accounting or finance
  • Healthcare experience
  • Master's degree
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Must be team-oriented and be able to successfully coordinate, perform, and manage projects to completion
  • Advanced computer skills and database skills
  • Analytical ability and detail oriented, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
  • Proficient in data manipulations and presentations
  1. Prepares monthly financial reports in concert with General Accounting for closing and senior-level reporting requirements.
  2. Analyzes revenue, volume, expense, and productivity trends.
  3. Provides financial analytical support for all clinical managers.
  4. Works directly with Director, Financial Operations to further Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta initiatives, developing and utilizing information capabilities to the fullest extent possible.
  5. Updates actual results and rolls forward projections to provide financial analyses to support operations and management decisions.
  6. Updates and maintains models to estimate financial performance and develops pro formas to evaluate financial results for new services.
  7. Maintains Grady intercompany and faculty cost projections.
  8. Works with Clinical Operations to develop yearly budgets and educate on key business policies, processes, and guidelines.
  9. Assists as needed in administration and tracking of donor funding.
  10. Performs other duties as directed.

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
