JOB SUMMARY

Supports the operations of the gift shops at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston and Scottish Rite. Provides outstanding customer service and assists in profitability for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Assists with display, receiving, restocking, and ticketing of merchandise and physical appearance of shop.
  2. Helps customers identify and select merchandise.
  3. Ensures cash balancing is completed and reconciled at opening, closing, and throughout the day.  
  4. Creates and maintains a positive environment for volunteers by providing assistance and support.
  5. Helps to maintain profitability of by helping to keep the gift shop open and well-stocked and providing outstanding customer service.
  6. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested  by supervisor, manager, or director.
  7. Up-sells or add-on sells.
  8. Maintains retail inventory, including receiving, adjustments, proper ticketing on merchandise, and correct entry on cash register.
  9. Assists with vendor sales.
  10. Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, volunteers, visitors, and staff.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
