JOB SUMMARY

Assists the manager in leading and facilitating the identification of key performance measures, data analysis, performance improvement and the implementation of redesigned processes. Leada change management efforts to achieve optimal performance. Establishes monitoring tools, including call capture software, to sustain and continue the improvement efforts. Assists with strategic planning to align organizational goals with improvement initiatives and organizational needs.

  • Master's degree in Healthcare, Business, Engineering, or related field

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*

  • Proficient at a high level in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to confront and creatively manage conflict
  • Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  1. Facilitates/educates and provides technical expertise to system/access employees and leaders in identifying key performance indicators that are linked and aligned with organizational strategic goals and performance targets.
  2. Participates in the review and update of the performance improvement plan routinely and at a minimum of annually by conducting evaluations during routine rounding.
  3. Ensures that performance improvement practices are evidenced-based and consistent with regulatory guidelines.
  4. Provides ongoing orientation, education, and training pertinent to performance improvement based on customer needs assessments.
  5. Implements performance improvement methods to achieve desired outcomes.
  6. Coaches and facilitates prioritized improvement initiatives to achieve desired outcomes.
  7. Facilitates multidisciplinary teams to evaluate processes and systems, generate alternatives, and make recommendations to reduce costs, improve customer satisfaction, and produce favorable outcomes.
  8. Communicates team recommendations.
  9. Leads change management to successfully drive changes.
  10. Leads cross-functional teams to identify and implement changes.
  11. Designs tools, reports, baselines, and dashboards to assist in monitoring performance.
  12. Develops quality metrics to assess overall success of performance improvement indicators.
  13. Evaluates and implements new initiatives that assist in the achievement of system goals.
  14. Participates in the achievement of organizational-directed department goals.
  15. Documents and manages performance review/improvement process and related activities.
  16. Works collaboratively with internal and external resources.
  17. Coordinates and completes assigned projects.
  18. Provides one-on-one coaching sessions to assist in individual attainment of quality goals.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
