Psychometrist-Center for Advanced Pediatrics

JOB SUMMARY

Administers, scores, and interprets psychological assessments under the supervision of a licensed clinical pediatric psychologist. Functions as a member of the treatment team on the medical psychiatry unit. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

EDUCATION
  • Master’s degree in Psychology from an accredited graduate school or a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minimum of five (5) years working as a Psychometrist

EXPERIENCE*
  • Experience in supervised practitioner in psychological assessment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Experience in psychological assessment in a pediatric inpatient or outpatient setting

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Administers psychological assessments and testing for inpatients and outpatients.
  2. Documents patient information according to hospital policy.  
  3. Maintains professional development.    
  4. Participates in the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
  5. Performs other responsibilities as required.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
