Project Manager - Office of the CFO

JOB SUMMARY

Partners with Finance Division Vice Presidents and Directors to develop, manage, and execute comprehensive and thoughtful project plans, timelines, resource requirements, communication plans, and executive-level presentations.

EDUCATION

•    Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, healthcare administration or related field
•    Master’s degree in business, public health, health administration or related field preferred but not required

 

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not required
     

EXPERIENCE*


•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in financially-oriented project management role, preferably in healthcare but not required
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional working environment

•    Demonstrated ability to address and effectively manage conflict
•    Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization

•    Interest & aptitude in finance
•    Driven; motivated to succeed; a self-starter

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

1.    Creates, manages, and executes project scope, schedule, resources, and change management initiatives.
2.    Communicates and documents project plan, status updates, business goals, and governance plan to team and stakeholders.
3.    Identifies and manages project risks, issues, and opportunities proactively.
4.    Conducts research and analyzes data, processes and systems related to assigned projects; develops, recommends, and implements project action plans.
5.    Supports externally facing Committees and Boards, include managing material development, logistics and communication
6.    Collaborates with specialists both inside and outside the organization with assigned tasks to deliver subject matter expert activities.
7.    Ensures project deliverables are on time, high quality, and on budget.
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS*

Ability to lift up to 15 lbs independently not to exceed 50 lbs without assistance
Bending/Stooping - Frequently (activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of time)
Climbing - Occasionally (activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of time)
Hearing/Speaking - Effective communication with employees, supervisors/managers and staff. Effective communications with patients and visitors, as required.
