Pediatric Institute: Pediatric Interventional Radiologist

The Emory University Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are recruiting full-time, board certified or board eligible pediatric interventional radiologists to join our growing faculty. Pediatric interventional radiologists will provide services across multiple Children’s locations. Qualified candidates must have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in vascular interventional radiology. Clinical experience appropriate for our dynamic and growing practice and/or training in pediatric interventional radiology is preferred.

Employment will be through the Emory+Children’s Pediatric Institute, an affiliation between Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta


Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.


•    Graduate of an accredited, four-year medical school
•    Graduate of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in vascular interventional radiology.


•    Board certified to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
•    Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Georgia
•    Current DEA license
•    PALS certification is required

  • Clinical experience and/or training in pediatric interventional radiology is strongly preferred

•    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member

•    Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Professional Staff


1.    Provides patient care within the respective clinical area which complies with the Professional Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations and Children’s policies and procedures.
2.    Participates in and incorporates Quality Improvement and research findings into practice.
3.    Provides and/or serves as a resource for patient/family and staff education.
4.    Provides an authenticated report of all physician services rendered and maintains accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
5.    Completes necessary documentation and ensures communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
6.    Participates in meetings/activities as required to support operations of the clinical area.
7.    Participates in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in ALS and maintains any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
8.    Performs other responsibilities as required.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system. 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
