Provides contract process management and functional support to the Legal department to ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and to promote a legally compliant environment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.


  • High school diploma or equivalent


  • Paralegal or equivalent


  • 3 years of experience in a law office or internal legal department


  • Bachelor’s degree 


  • Knowledge of and ability to do legal research and draft/review legal documents
  • Must be organized and excellent at written and verbal communication
  • All-around computer skills and proficiency
  • Demonstrated exercise of sound judgment and solutions orientation
  • Must type a minimum of 50 error-free words per minute


  1. Reviews and edits contracts prior to review by Attorneys and Insurance Manager.
  2. Responds to requests or questions related to contract content, when appropriate.
  3. Manages and maintains clause and template libraries.
  4. Drafts and reviews contracts.
  5. Provides instruction related to navigation of the contract management system.
  6. Researches and reviews statutory, regulatory, and case law utilizing computerized research capabilities and law libraries.
  7. Assists with review and drafting of policies, procedures, and legal correspondence.
  8. Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of legal services.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
