MANDATORY COVID-19 VACCINATION: In accordance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rules, Children's requires all employees to be fully vaccinated or receive an approved exemption.


To ensure the safety of our patients, visitors and staff Children’s is screening all staff, visitors and vendors who enter our hospitals, ambulatory and administrative locations.


• High school diploma



• Two years of experience in customer service in a business office environment



• Excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and the ability to communicate well in person, in writing, and on the phone
• Must be able to work effectively in pressured situations and demonstrate the ability to diffuse escalating situations
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Computer skills that include the internet and Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work as a team player


1. Creates a great first impression for the hospital.
2. Facilitates the wellness screening process as dictated by screening guidelines for employees, visitors & patients
• Uses a contactless thermometer to screen and read temperature.
• Screens staff and guests using a basic questionnaire concerning health status and travel.
• Wears PPE as required for performing medical screening
3. Follows all processes and procedures to ensure symptomatic employees, visitors & patients are treated correctly
4. Communicates in a courteous, prompt, and professional manner.
5. Processes accurate paperwork (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards) on each patient/contact in a timely manner and logs.
6. Manages social distancing restriction in assigned area
7. Documents and maintains updated information pertaining to services provided each shift.
8. Advises nursing staff of patient/parent/customer concerns that require staff intervention.
9. Performs other duties as assigned by the manager or director.
10. Serves as service excellence role models for other Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta staff.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
