Manages operations and ongoing support, maintenance and deployment of human resources information systems.  Provides operational leadership and oversight for all HR technology initiatives and activities.  Ensures data integrity and develops innovative methods of using data and information while maintaining appropriate security and internal controls. Ensures data integrations involving human resources systems are appropriately designed and managed.


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field


No professional certifications required


  • 7-10 years of experience implementing, optimizing and managing enterprise HRIS & HR systems (Workday,  SuccessFactors, Peoplesoft, SAP, Oracle, etc)
  • Minimum 5 years managing, coaching and developing a team of functional / technical analysts
  • Experience establishing effective partnerships across the HR and IT organizations and influencing management, peers and direct reports in an inclusive style to leverage their abilities and knowledge. 
  • Experience using report writers, dashboards, and delivering advanced analytics and presentation-ready reporting
  • Experience configuring and reengineering HR system modules including Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Succession planning, etc.
  • Experience successfully integrating systems through web API’s, file feeds, and through other interfaces. Solid understanding of object-oriented and/or relational databases.
  • Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems


  • Workday HCM implementation experience in a healthcare environment
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in project management


  • Deep understanding of HCM, LMS, and payroll systems
  • Knowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to internal and external factors influencing Human Resources and the full life cycle employee experience, basic business drivers and metrics
  • Ability to proactively translate the strategic needs of stakeholders into specific strategies and requirements, and solve business problems with technology
  • Consultative and collaboration skills with the ability to recommend and persuade audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated facilitation skills
  • Strong business acumen to proactively assess organizational issues and trends that translate to potential impacts on business
  • Ability to manage projects, stakeholders and initiatives to successful conclusion in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to work with confidential information
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and change management skills
  • Ability to gather and integrate data from multiple sources and prioritize work according to business need

  • Demonstrated ability to develop queries, reports, and/or analytic dashboards 
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage performance and develop team members and lead cross-functional teams and initiatives.

  • Technically proficient in relevant computer applications and advanced Microsoft Office skills


  1. Leads HRIS efforts and manages all current and future system functionality, enhancements, upgrades, and system integrations in partnership with IT, Payroll, HR functional areas, Operational areas and third-party vendors.
  2. Manages the portfolio of HR system applications and projects: translate functional HR priorities into solutions powered by technology and reporting/analytics; collaborate with HR and IT partners to appropriately prioritize and synchronize projects; coordinate resource capacity and availability; ensure optimal system design and configuration by analysts; facilitate smooth transitions from projects to standard operations; identify barriers to change and drive organizational change necessary for success.
  3. Provides thought leadership regarding potential HR technology solutions and advocates for systems and/or process change. Anticipates the ripple effect of change throughout the systems and business to minimize barriers to progress. Leads business process re-engineering, ensuring delivery of an optimal employee experience through HR technology services.
  4. Ensures system stability and high performing operations by monitoring performance, overseeing the prompt identification and resolution of issues, conducting audits and analyses, and implementing corrective measures to avoid reoccurring issues.
  5. Leads reporting efforts to support management decision-making and planning. Ensures timely delivery of ongoing governmental, vendor, and business reporting requirements.
  6. Manages data integrations to and from HR technologies, including leading requirements definition, testing, and problem resolution. Coordinates with third party vendors ensuring the accuracy of the data.
  7. Develops, documents, and oversees procedures that result in human resources data and records security, integrity and legal compliance. Ensures confidentiality of HRIS data by managing security profiles and procedures. Ensures technical documentation is created and maintained. Leverage existing documentation.
  8. Manages staff, including hiring, terminations, drafting goals, evaluating performance, coaching, developing and stretching the team. Periodically reviews team and structure to help demand management and capacity planning, utilizing metrics and service delivery standards. Mentor team members to encourage personal and professional growth.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
