Mobile Device Management Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

The Mobile Device Management Specialist Mobile Device Management (MDM) Advisor will design and support hardware, software, and cloud services to help deploy, manage, track, and audit mobile devices. The Mobile Device Management Specialist MDM Advisor will act at the Tier-3 level and is responsible for system architecture, system configuration, tracking, and troubleshooting mobile devices and administering the MDMMDM cloud environment for our hospital system. This individual manages, maintains support, troubleshoots, and optimizes the mobile cloud environment and its related mobile devices and suggests adjustments and new system designs for future needs. The Mobile Device Management Specialist Mobile Device Advisor ensures that all mobile devices and activations comply with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s policies and procedures.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

  • No professional certifications required

EXPERIENCE*

  • Minimum four years of relevant work experience with mobile devices
  • Experience with Windows server 2008/2012 installation and maintenance
  • Three years of MDM administration and support

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

  • AirWatch Professional Certification

  • Knowledgeable in managing iOS and Android devices
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, SNMP, AD, and DNS

  • Proficient with Visio, Excel, and Word, including strong documentation skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative, executive staff, and patient care systems users

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  1. Creates and manages security profiles using the AirWatch MDM platform.
  2. Provides second and third level technical support for smartphones, tablets, and associated peripherals and accessories.
  3. Assists with smart device deployment projects.
  4. Packages and delivers applications to mobile devices under management.
  5. Creates and maintains standards documentation for devices and applications managed by the MDM platform.
  6. Provides reports on devices out of compliance with Children’s policies.
  7. Assists with asset inventory management as needed by entering or modifying devices in the asset inventory database.
  8. Works in concert with IS&T teams in responding to service desk tickets in a timely manner.
  9. Creates and updates/closes incidents and/or problems in the ticketing system in a clear and efficient manner.
  10. Engages with vendors to remediate incidents.
  11. Creates incident reports for internal and external communication.
  12. Capacity Reporting-  Collects and reviews performance reports and report trends in performance to assist senior technical personnel to predict future issues or outages.
  13. Supports multiple technical teams in 24 x 7 environment operational.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
