Identity Access Management Intern (Summer 2021)

JOB SUMMARY

In preparing for the transition to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system at Children’s, the Identify Access Management (IAM) Team must convert approximately 300 users who were Children’s employees but are now non-employed contractors; despite the change in employment status, these users continue to use their employee Active Directory (AD) Network Access ID for accessing the Children’s network.  This conversion will also enable the SailPoint application to process automated terminations of AD Accounts for Children’s employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Move all non-employed contractors to a contractor AD Children’s Network Access ID Account
  • Disable previous employee AD Children’s Network Accounts (Users who are not Children’s employees, but are contractors, should not be using the employee AD Account ID)
  • Convert approximately 300 users who were previously Children’s employees, who are now non-employed contractors, but continue to use their employee Active Directory Network Access ID for accessing the Children’s network. 
  • Contact the contractor users and their reporting Manager
  • Communicate the change required
  • Work with contractor user and Manager to submit a new IS&T Security Request Form
  • Confirm new Contractor AD Network Access ID / Password are working as expected.
  • Confirm Contractor has access required to perform their role
  • If Contractor has an Epic account, the EMP will be updated with the contractor AD ID
  • Disable the Contractor’s previous Children’s Employee AD ID

SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
