Hospital Planning Director

Responsible for transition planning as the North Druid Hills hospital clinical subject matter expert/liaison. Oversees the hospital work plan, establishes priorities, serves as communication liaison, leads coordination of clinical teams, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives efficiency of patient care/support services.


• 3-5 years director level experience
• Experience with large scale change management and obtaining buy-in across unique audiences


• Bachelor of Science in Nursing


• Licensure as Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
• Professional Nursing Certification required upon hire or within one year of hire


• MSN or Master’s degree in a relevant field


1. Executes large-scale projects within budget and identified timeframe.
2. Responsible for creation, coordination and implementation of clinical workflows in collaboration with Strategic Integration.
3. Oversees Hospital work plan, establishes operational priorities and assigns responsibilities and scope of authority to ensure project success, collaborating with Strategic Integration.
4. Clinical and Hospital stakeholder management and communications liaison with internal and physicians' communication team regarding Hospital planning.
5. Works collaboratively with the VP Planning, Design & Construction to ensure adequate and aligned resources, budget compliance, project approach, time milestones and overall success of the Hospital Project.
6. Responsible for organization and coordination of Clinical Teams.
7. Ensures Physician, Service Line and Operations Leaders inclusion in planning process.
8. Seeks innovative processes to ensure highest level of long-term efficiency in provision of patient care and support services.
9. Responsible for reports and updates of the Hospital Planning.
10. Monitors the compliance of vendors to ensure compliance with budget, milestones, and appropriate policies and procedures.
11. Ensures compliance with all regulatory regulations, including, but not limited to TJC, CMS, OSHA, CAP.
12. Ensures the facility effectively meets the patient needs of the future.

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
