Conceives, designs, and produces high-quality marketing collateral, promotional material, and digital design in support of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Coordinates and oversees each phase of the creative/design production process to ensure alignment with system brand standards. Takes personal accountability for continual education to enable professional development and enhance job performance.


  • Bachelor of Arts degree or technical school degree in Commercial Art or comparable discipline


  • No professional certifications required


  • 3 years of experience in traditional graphic design encompassing basic print and digital design skills, pre-press, print and digital production skills, photography and illustration art direction, and basic accounting skills/cost estimation
  • 3 years of experience in both Mac and PC platforms with appropriate design/illustration software knowledge including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop


  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


  • Demonstrated communication, listening, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Must be organized, motivated, adaptable, and able to work as part of a team


  1. Supervises each phase of production process including design, photography, illustration, and technical support while working closely with the Manager, Creative.
  2. Works closely with all areas of Marketing to integrate content with product output.
  3. Coordinates all phases of on-target, innovative, quality design/production, including creating progressive design solutions, consistency with corporate brand standards, working with vendors, and regularly briefing Manager, Creative on all design, budget, and project decisions.
  4. Ensure timeliness, efficiency and accuracy.
  5. Manages project budgets.
  6. Maintains organized job folders and properly archives projects in accordance with team policies.
  7. Works under time constraints to meet deadlines, which may involve overtime.
  8. Supports and participates in the continuous assessment and improvement of the creative services provided and upholds the integrity of the brand standards.
  9. Establishes positive working relationships with members of Marketing and Communications, client/partner organizations, and vendors.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
