Digital Content Producer-Video

Creates original video content for distribution on Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s various digital and social media communication channels. Executes all aspects of video production, including conceptualization of stories, field/studio production, interviewing, lighting, shooting, editing, and publishing. Will be primarily responsible for developing the look, feel, and tone of videos in accordance with the Children's brand. Works closely with Creative, Editorial, Public Relations, and Marketing to produce compelling video content for referring physicians, allied health professionals, consumers, potential employees, donors/potential donors, and patients/families. This is a one-person-band position and applicants should have demonstrated experience in shooting and editing video packages.   • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Video Production, Journalism, or related field
  • Valid Georgia driver’s license
  • Professional script writing, photography, video production and editing background (portfolio of video work will be requested).
  • Three years experience using studio equipment including digital switcher, chroma key, audio board, and lighting.
  • Three years experience non-linear video editing.
  • Experience in broadcast media/public relations.
  • Expert knowledge of video formats, picture quality, and audio optimization.
  • Broadcast media/PR experience preferred; ability to interview families, patients, leaders, physicians, and other subject matter experrts on and off camera.
  • Experience with marketing principles and how video fits into Marketing/PR campaigns.
  • Passion for Children's and ability to tell engaging stories through video and other digital channels.
  • Expert knowledge of social media, blogs, and creating sharable digital content/viral video.
  • Must have valid Georgia driver's license and personal transportation (automobile) in good working condition.
  • Must be able to function in a dynamic team environment.
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  1. Be a self-starter able to generate story ideas, plan video shoots, prepare subjects and conduct interviews, shoot, edit, and publish (within same day when necessary).
  2. Lead creation of video style and elements guide to ensure consistency of video content within overall corporate brand.
  3. Coordinate production schedules and manage video studio calendar, video archiving, and storage systems.
  4. Ensure that video elements and other digital content is well integrated into and overall Children’s messaging.
  5. Capture professional quality photography and video at live events and scheduled shoots.

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
