Compensation Associate

JOB SUMMARY

Performs and manages daily compensation transactions. Ensures that jobs are appropriately documented, and monitors employee transactions to ensure that policies and practices are followed. Assists with other compensation activities to ensure that Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta's compensation program is fair and competitive.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY
  • No professional certifications required
EXPERIENCE*
  • 1 year of professional experience, including any internships  
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Advanced Excel and database experience
  • Healthcare experience
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • Highly proficient in the use and application of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to complete routine tasks independently and in a timely manner
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work with multiple individuals from various departments across the organization
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Maintains job descriptions, job codes, and pay structures.
  2. Researches and responds to questions, interprets policies, and assists with review of compensation issues.
  3. Creates and/or track offer letters.
  4. Reviews and approves employee transactions and transaction exceptions, and ensures compliance with related compensation guidelines, policies, and practices.
  5. Works closely with the HRIS and Payroll teams to upload employee, job code, and structure changes, as well as bonus and incentive payouts.
  6. Completes regular compensation audits and reports.
  7. Assists with special projects as requested.
  8. Serves as the MarketPay administrator.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
