Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is growing and is hiring a Senior Telepresence Engineer to join our permanent team!!  Children's is hiring a Collaboration Senior Engineer - Cisco Telepresence  to join our seasoned technical team.  The Collaboration Senior Engineer manages the Collaboration infrastructure and solutions to include design, planning, installing, troubleshooting, testing, monitoring, reporting, maintaining, and supporting in accordance with IS&T standards and industry best practices.  Part of a team that is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a scalable, highly available Collaboration infrastructure, that meets the business objectives and identified SLAs.


Bachelor's Degree required


•    CCNP Voice certification required


•    Ten years’ experience in designing and implementing Cisco Telepresence Solution using Cisco Validated Design architecture and Solution Reference Network Designs (SRND)
•    Five years’ experience in maintaining/supporting Telepresence Solutions
•    Ten years’ experience in designing and implementing/supporting Cisco Collaboration Enterprise solutions using Validated Design architecture and Solution Reference Network Designs (SRND)
•    Five years’ experience in maintaining/supporting Collaboration Solutions


•    Bachelor's Degree is Computer Science or related field
•    CCIE Voice
•    One-year experience in maintaining/supporting NICE recording platform


•    Hands-on experience in migrating Video Endpoints from Cisco VCS to Unified CM
•    Hands-on experience in Cisco Collaboration Edge (Cisco Expressway-C and Expressway-E)
•    Hands on experience in deploying and maintaining Cisco Telepresence Management Suite (TMS)
•    Extensive Call Control knowledge i.e. Dial Peers, Dial Plans, +E.164 Routing, Dialing Normalization, Classes of Service and Calling Search Spaces, Inter cluster Lookup Service (ILS), Global Dial Plan Replication (GDPR)
•    Hands-on experience with implementing/upgrading/troubleshooting PSTN voice gateways (MGCP, SIP, SCCP, PRI, FXO and FXS)
•    Hands-on experience with implementing/Supporting/troubleshooting Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST)
•    Hands-on experience in implementing/troubleshooting/upgrading Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) and SIP PSTN (IP Flex)
•    Hands-on experience in configuring/maintaining/troubleshooting Collaboration Endpoints (Jabber, IP Phone 88xx Series, DX, MX, SX and IX Series)
•    Hands-on experience in migrating Endpoints from SCCP to SIP
•    Hands-on experience in installing certificates
•    Hands-on experience in installing/maintaining/migrating licenses
•    Experience with Cisco Unified Presence deployments and Cisco Jabber, Spark etc.
•    Knowledge/experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise
•    Deep knowledge and experience with designing and implementing Dial Peers and Dial Plans
•    Hands-on experience designing and building Cisco Call Manager and Unity deployments
•    Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues (tickets)


1.    Overall responsibility for systems availability, capacity planning and management, system performance, configuration, software and hardware for primarily Cisco contact center-based applications and Cisco Dialer.
2.    Supports Cisco Unified Contact Center (CUCC-E) applications and servers.
3.    Supports Cisco IP Telephony, Telepresence and Unity voicemail infrastructure.
4.    Maintains, monitors, reports, and conducts intermediate level fault finding resolution and responds to technical issues and requests. 
5.    Maximizes voice/collaboration performance by;
o    monitoring performance 
o    troubleshooting voice problems and outages 
o    scheduling upgrades
o    collaborating with network architect(s) on voice/network optimization
6.    Works within the Infrastructure team, and ensures upgrades and resolutions are coordinated with various support teams and completed on-time.
7.    Document processes and procedures and provide training to the support teams. 
8.    Maintains assigned workgroup queue and liaise with customers to assess and develop appropriate needs and requirements. 
9.    Participates in after-hours support for voice/collaboration operations (cutover/upgrade/change orders/migration.
10.    Participates in on the 7-days on call rotation to support the Collaboration infrastructure.
11.    Installs collaboration equipment when needed (UCS server, Voice Gateway, ISR router, etc.).
12.    Decommissions equipment by removing from racks when needed.
13.    Runs cables (CAT6 and/or fiber) at Data Center or Data closet when needed.
14.    Supervises installation.
15.    Responsible for project and technical support of the Organization's Cisco's Unified Communication Manager related technologies which include, but are not limited to, Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Cisco Unified Presence, Telemedicine, Jabber, Spark, Web Ex, Cisco Contact Center, Vbrick, E-911, Gateways, SIP and PRI circuits.
16.    Works closely with the Marketing and Public Relations Department, Telemedicine, and other departments across the System to advance adoption and utility of investments in collaboration technologies. Collaboration technologies include fixed video conferencing hardware and software, computer-based conferencing and communication software, hosted and premise video-conferencing and presentation software, other room equipment, control panels, and electronic signage


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system. 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
