Behavioral and Mental Health Program Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Develops, implements, delivers, and manages programs within assigned strategic focus area(s) of Children’s Behavioral and Mental Health multi-year plan. In collaboration with accountable leaders, provides program direction and tactical support to meet the needs and achieve desired outcomes for assigned initiatives. Serves as central resource to operational leaders for development and implementation of efficient, effective, timely strategies.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, health service, or related field

CERTIFICATION SUMMARY

• No professional certifications required

EXPERIENCE*

• 5 years of experience in developing and delivering programs or projects in a healthcare or business environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• Experience in behavioral and mental health clinical care delivery or the delivery of programs or projects in behavioral and mental health
• Master’s degree in related field
• Experience in supervision or as a team lead
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

• Proven ability to drive a project from concept to execution working across boundaries, removing barriers, identifying patterns for improvement and delivering results.
• Ability to work and collaborate with groups and teams across departmental lines including developing strong relationships with physician leaders

• Effective project planning and monitoring skills

• Experience in tactical project-based work
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and other financial skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*

1. Provides tactical, day-to-day project management support to deliver behavioral and mental health programs within assigned strategic focus area(s).
2. Partners with assigned leaders to develop and manage detailed implementation plans to ensure program initiatives are delivered efficiently, effectively and on time.
3. Schedules meetings, develops templates and produces timely reporting to drive implementation.
4. Identifies risks and potential solutions and escalates to Leader, Project Manager and Director to ensure solutions are identified.
5. Engages all relevant stakeholders in the program implementation plan process.
6. Assists assigned leaders in the ongoing management of the portfolio of behavioral and mental health initiatives.
7. Identifies opportunities to more effectively and expediently execute program goals with the resources available – maximizing impact.
