Behavior Data Analyst - Marcus Autism Center - Behavioral Analysis Core

Organizes and maintains data collection and statistical analysis system for program in accordance with the needs of the ages of the population served. Provides direct services under the supervision of the case manager/clinical specialist. Assists with research activities and completes departmental duties as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or applied discipline


  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment


  • No minimum experience required


  • Experience in the implementation of behavioral assessment/treatment programs with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of normal/abnormal growth and development throughout the age continuum


  • Ability to provide, assess, interpret, and communicate client-specific data in response to treatment protocols
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills along with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass all post-training tests which may include basic Applied Behavior Analysis post-test, 3-step post-test, assaultive techniques checklist post-test, and teaching procedures role playing (Marcus Autism Center employees)


  1. Provides direct client care.
  2. Communicates case-related activities with supervisors using written and verbal communication.
  3. Calculates reliability coefficients and summarizes reliability data of various direct observation data collection systems.
  4. Assists in the monitoring (e.g., data collection and data entry) and adjustment of routine behavioral assessments and protocols. 
  5. Assumes responsibility for case-related activities in conjunction with the Behavior Data Analyst 2 and/or Clinical Specialist (e.g., preparing case-related materials/documentation, and anticipating case-related needs).
  6. Assists with the training of staff and caregivers regarding data collection and treatment procedures for assessments and treatment protocols.
  7. Utilizes safe and appropriate handling, management, and guidance procedures when transporting or working with patients.
  8. Assists in the implementation of research protocols and maintenance of research literature and educational materials.
  9. Assists in the purchase and maintenance of supplies necessary for implementation of behavior protocols.


Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.


Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
