Accounts Payable Clerk

JOB SUMMARY

The Accounts Payable Clerk processes vendor invoices and employee reimbursements in timely and accurate manner in accordance with policies and procedures.

EDUCATION
  • High school diploma
EXPERIENCE*
  • Data Entry, Review, or Editing of Data with history of accuracy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
  • Proficient in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Systems (e.g. AnyDoc)
  • Proficient in Work Flow Systems (e.g. Hyland OnBase)
  • Proficient in computerized accounting systems (e.g., Lawson)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge or Supplier and Vendor Invoices
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES*
  • Knowledge of Business Documents
  • Attention to Detail
  • Business Etiquette for phone and email
  • Ability to grasp concepts, apply, and request assistance as needed
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
  1. Performs optical character recognition on incoming invoices.
  2. Processes purchase order and non-purchase order invoices using imaging workflow system.
  3. Performs three-way purchase order matching of invoices.
  4. Other duties as assigned to support the P2P (Purchasing to Payment) functions.
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES*

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system. 

 

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
